A Pinch of Idiocy in Democracy
With all the knowledge and expertise by the people in the government, they can be considered important to our nation for they are the one who make critical decisions and take control of the country. And to be qualified as one, you must be really good at those.
But what if we put a pinch of idiocy in a hot pot of democracy? Would it be useless or would it pull down the average I.Q level of the congress?
Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is a professional boxer who gained fame after his amazing winnings. But as his retiring age draw near, he enters the government by running for the position of congressman and recently this 2016 Elections, he was elected as one of the senators at 7th place with more than 16 million votes. It’s true that the retired boxer has a lot of believers. He also stated that he will fulfill his duties first. Would it be great for him to focus on where he performs great? Does he have enough knowledge to every single why and how on the senate?
Pacman may have good intentions to serve the public, but he can surely do that even outside the government. And by what the TV networks reported, he is having about next year which is opposite by what he said that he will focus only in the senate. Now, how can we trust a man who does not mark his words? And to be a good public server, you must have excellent communication skills and frankly, Manny does not possess that skill. Likewise, he must stick on where he is well-known and skilled and that is boxing.
For the next election, let us be well-knowledged about the runners and not be driven by the bandwagon.
