Phinma-UPang as Ilocos Region’s biggest SHS
Comprised with 3,353 students, University of Pangasinan takes it way to the top, beating all Senior High Schools in Region 1, in terms of population.
“We’ve come this far because aside from the quality education that we offer, we apply different marketing techniques that the school have taught us,” says University’s Marketing Associate Nheil V. Camacho.
The University of Pangasinan Senior High School department offers two tracks, Academic and Technical-Vocational. Under the Academic Track includes four strands; Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Accountancy and Business Management (ABM), Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), and General Academic Strand (GAS). Technical Vocational and Livelihood (TVL) Strand is under Technical Vocational Track.
The school applies Student-Centered Learning (SCL) Program which focuses on the academic independence of every student.
Even before the start of classes has arrived, more than 6,000 students have already shown interest to enroll in the school and registered their names.
It is the first time the school to hold SHS students who came from the different parts of Northern Luzon.
Velasco said that the widely-known school is ready to accommodate another incoming batch of Senior High School students for the next Academic-Year.
